A good number of people are very concerned in knowing what great photography is all about. Buying a good camera body and several lenses is not what great photography is all about. To get the best in photography then it is very appropriate to first get it right when you are with your camera. Struggling to produce a dynamic range is what some cameras do. The reason for this is that some of the parts of the image may be exposed appropriately while other parts may be overexposed or even underexposed. It might be difficult to produce the wide range of colors in the scene during the Gold Hour shooting. To get good shots during the shooting, there are some tips that you can put into consideration.
One of the most important tips is the shooting RAW. In order to recover lots of details and color during the post-processing, then it important for the photographer to do this. This is where Lightroom is considered appropriate. This is because a RAW will not be able to embed the white balance to make it to appear like a finer image. Using of Lightroom will be able to give the image the most appropriate colors. The second tip is ensuring the bracketing of your exposure. Reason being that, there exists a wide range of tone when it comes to images of Golden Hour. Due to this the camera will not be able to fully capture the images. The importance of bracketing is that it can bring in line the range of tone to that seen by the eyes.
When using the lightroom for the Golden Hour images it is advisable to first correct the exposure of the images. The images will usually appear very neutral and lacking color punch when the photography has been done in the golden hour. Correcting the exposure is done to make it look great. To see the wide range of tones then it is necessary to go to the histogram. The range of tones is from the darkest black highlight to the white one. To identify the issues, you can switch the highlights that are in the histogram. For the light to fall inside the histogram it is advised to raise the black and whites to be lowered.
Achieving the golden color is done by first changing the white balance. White balance is changed in a way that it resembles the golden color. White balance is increased when the image of the evening looks more like noon rather than dusk. When this has been done the image will look like a lovely evening with warmer tones. Fixing the color saturation can also be done. Color Yellows and reds are the most increased when it comes to Golden Hour images. Correcting the hues can make you achieve your desired color.
